Richie Bonney of Solaris Renewables mentions reasons why to go solar, including the savings, utilizing clean power and lowering your carbon footprint, and moving away from the utility company.
Transcript
Hi, my name is Richie Bonney, VP of Sales here at Solaris Renewables. You may have seen a lot of solar systems popping up in your neighborhood and you’re wondering why that’s the case. The first reason is savings. You’re able to save, really, from day one with a lot of different options with solar compared to what you would be paying with the utility.
The second major benefit is that it’s clean power. It allows you to produce your own energy that’s fossil fuel-free, and reduce your carbon footprint.
Lastly, it allows you to get away from the utility. Utility rates are really high right now in the state of Massachusetts and have been going up at an increasingly high rate, and it allows you to control your own power so you’re not subject to those rate increases.
If you’re thinking about looking into solar, those are some of the reasons why, and now’s a great time to check it out.
